We Tied the Knot!

We’re excited to welcome you to our website as husbands! Planning a wedding during a pandemic was a challenge, to put it lightly, and we’re so appreciative of all the support and understanding everyone showed us. When we set out, the first thing our wedding planner asked us was the #1 thing that we wanted out of our wedding, the one thing we couldn’t live without. Without hesitation we both answered “getting married,” and while it may not have been what we had originally dreamed nestled on the beach of Tahoe between the mountains, we still walked down the aisle together. Chelsea followed us shortly after with our rings and then laid down at our feet as we exchanged our vows.

If you didn’t make it to the livestream, or if you missed something, fear not as we have a replay available. Our videographer and photographer are still working on the highlight video, but we wanted to post the full ceremony now.

Our wedding day wouldn’t have been what it was without all of the amazing friends and family in our lives.

To our family: we know how much you wanted to be here. While we missed seeing you in-person, we’re glad to know you’re safe. It was great getting to see you on FaceTime in the front row as we made this bond between us official.

To our wedding party—Geno, Harris, Miles, Grant, Jeremy, Maria, and Kelly: Not all of you could attend in-person, but you are some of the most important people in our lives, and we appreciate all you did to bring this moment together.

To our officiant, Bryant: your diligence in coming up with a beautiful ceremony made the day so special. You rolled with some jokes to keep it exciting and you made everything come together. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect officiant. The fact that you’re one of our close friends made it all the more special.

To our videographer and photographer, Davey and Meg Hibler: you both helped all of our friends and family here virtually with the livestream. You came all the way down from Tahoe just to capture our special day when we changed the plans last-minute.

To everyone we worked with at Blue Sky Events—Aimee, Chelsea, and Kerry: starting out, we thought we’d be able to plan a wedding on our own. After all, Myke is a project manager in his day job. But having your support and guidance made a world of difference.

And finally, we want to extend extra special thanks to all our vendors up in Tahoe who graciously let us move contracts to next year. We look forward to partying at The Hyatt and Aspen Grove once it’s safe to do so. The cake from Cakes By Grace were the most delicious we could imagine and your kindness was unmatched. The flowers and garland from Thrans’ Flower Shop really fit with our outdoor theme and completed our backyard perfectly. And to our photographer, Shaunte’, we look forward to working with you next summer.
